Thumbs down Sprint V3m & placing calls

Hi all,
So...I got the new V3m from sprint. It pairs with the bluetooth system and seems to work correctly. I get the phonebook and voice regonition. When someone calls and I press the accept button it works through the speakers and microphone fine. But if I try to place a call (either phone book or dialing) the call stays on the handset and does not transfer to the car speakers or microphone. I then must go into the menu and transfer the call to the car...sorta defeating the purpose of hands-free.

So, it works except when placing calls. Has any one solved this riddle? Sprint is clueless and I gave up calling India to talk to Motorola. I'm about to send the phone back. (And don't get me started on the endless phone transfers I encountered with motorola).

Thanks.

Ken,

According to BMWUSA the Motorola V3M is not on the approve list, I had the RAZR V3C and works fine with no problem for incoming or out going calls, switch the carrier if you can.

Based on your description of the problem, the answer is quite clear: the device is not compatible with the car.

I tend to think the problem is with BMW and not with the phone. My Sprint KRZR has the same problem (as others have also agreed with) with my E90. My KRZR works PERFECTLY though with my Toyota Camry and its built in Bluetooth and my Subaru Outback with built in Bluetooth. I hope that BMW will come out with a Progman/CIP update that will address this problem of initiating phone calls not working hands-free through the E90's audio system. It really does not make sense to have to take out the phone and switch audio when making a call; really defeats the whole purpose.
