Reviving my old thread here. I got a copy of the EBA guide and finally got around to fitting the OEM retrofit kit.
Basically you need to run a loom from the right hand rear quarter panel just behind the fuel filler flap along the sill of the car with the main harness and then run it across to the fuse box behind the glovebox. This is where I had difficulty. The fuse box is a ba****d to drop down as you need to put a pin in the back of one of the plugs, I ended up scotch locking it. You then need to find in the main harness any twisted pair of the high and low CAN wires and scotch lock them in. This is quite difficult too as the wires are wound tight and yet you need to scotch lock in to them. Finally you need to remove the rear bar and the PDC holes are scored in the bar, so they need to be drilled out and the PDC sensor fitted to them. Running the loom to the sensors was dead easy. Once all of that is done I coded the retrofit (which was a quick code) and we're done. It took me the best part of 2 days to do this, yet the guide says it should only take 3.5 hours. There is no way you could do it in 3.5 hours. Anyway my mother now has rear PDC. ![]() ![]() If somebody can host the EBA guide I'll post it in this thread too as that is the best guide I could give. |
