Thanks Toad.. you're a tremendous help!

Basically I want the drop of the Race springs, but I don't really want my suspension to ride much stiffer than my stock Sport suspension. I understand that it will, but I don't want another car that felt like the 350Z I had in college (keep in mind I'm coming from a 7 series.. lol) Gotta ease myself back into the bone-jarring suspension! The Sports sound perfect, but they don't drop low enough compared to the race (from what I've seen) I could be wrong though. Some members post the Sports and they look slammed and some look barely lower than stock..

The "look" can be different due to picture angles, tires profile, wheel size & even tire wear ......... it's all subjective.

Here's a picture of 2V4NOW's car with 19" LM reps, H&R sports springs & stock shocks:

I've ridden in this car a number of times & the ride is very good. I think the height is perfect as a daily driver & the comfort level is actually better than the stock sport suspension. Race springs will lower the car just about 1/4" more in the front & a fraction more than that in the rear. You'll still need to negotiate angles etc, but the trade off is most likely what you're looking for.

Yeah, you might be right. That looks very good and if the ride is what you say, then I think I may go that route.

That drop looks pretty clean, the front could use a little more but the back looks perfect. Thank you for the help!

I'd say so! Do you have anymore pics? Did you have to roll the fenders or anything with those wheels?

If you want an opinion on suspension, I have had about 6 different setups on an E90.

If you put springs only, your car will ride like absolute shit. Not only that but it will also look retarded on the freeway.

You need to not go cheap here, considering suspension is one of the core strengths of the car you are driving.

If you are on a budget, get a cheaper coil over system like FK which should be fine if you are keeping the car for only 3 years.

I wouldnt put springs only if you gave me springs for free. You need shocks to pair with the new spring rate.

Good luck.

@ Eurotrip.. yeah i think im going w/ the HR Race w/ some upgraded shocks. Still considering the Sports, because that pic Toad posted of the blue car looks sick and still manageable for everyday driving.

What setup do you have now?

I have a lot of pics. But im too lazy too post. You can check my history threads.

I have pics with stock wheels and after market wheels. I didnt have to roll fenders with stock wheels but for the after market wheels I could have but I didnt.

My car is a lease, I could care less
