It appears as tho there is a lot of interest to get the AKMOTERWERK crew out here, is everyone still game?

I am talking with Kevin as we speak and are working on a date to have it done.

Question??? Is anyone opposed to putting down a deposit on the work being taken care of by AKM?

Meaning.... they are traveling quite some way to do these installs for us here in PA. They want to make sure they aren't traveling out here for nothing if you guys are no shows (I can only reassure so much on behalf of people they really dont know all that well).

I am guessing they may require a small deposit that will ultimately be taken off the final bill anyway.

Let me know guys, as we are getting closer to making this "Install Meet" take place and you guys can enjoy your new toys installed by one of the best Speed Shops in the Tri-State area!!!

PS - I believe you may get to meet Alex as well! Alex is the Co-owner of AKM with Kevin and he will be making the trip as well from what I understand!

Is AK coming soon? Bc I won't be getting my hpf fmic until early April(I've been waiting for my fmic for 25 days now,andwas just informed my order will be done sometime in April), and I still have to buy a set of coilovers !! Can u give us a estimate on when AK will be coming?

I'm cool with a deposit, but will the deposit be refunded if we do show up or something ?

And the install will be on a Sunday correct? Bc that's the only day I have off

And where will AK be doing all the installs ?

i havent talked to alex about a planned date yet, best case is to have everyone get their parts in, and make a list of everyone and what they want installed and we can go from there. we have to make sure we have enough work to make it worth the drive, AND make sure we have enough time to do the installs of course, we don't want to have someone going home empty handed

Shane (spmn) yes lets do it . lets send out a reminder next week to all. Please start posting location sites for a ideal photoshoot, I always find ideal spots at Parks and/or rural locations with bridges or ponds as a background.

AKM will need a location in which the installs can take place... so if anyone has a garage or an area that can be utilized for the installs that would be great.

I will keep my ears open and do some scouting on my own to try and find a location.

I would imagine an inside location is preferable as the weather is unpredictable at this point.

haha you arent kidding, when i met you last time, it was 50 at 7am when i left, and it was 34 and snowing on my way up there

i was NOT expecting that big of a difference lol

Alright guys the date is the only thing at this point that is set in stone. We are open to suggestions for the rest.

I would like a list of individuals that are going to attend.
I would also like to start a list of locations we can ponder on.

These are areas I am familiar with because I live nearby, but I am open to going anywhere.
Off the top of my head:

Car wash:
H20 Auto Wash
3012 Wexford Road (AKA - Rt. 910)
Wexford, PA 15090

Car Wax:
Within a 1/2 mile of car wash

As for the "setting" I always felt that a "rough" setting like a old building or warehouse environment is always a nice contrast for our cars.

Also buildings as a background like the PPG building would be a nice background.

PROSPECTS

I would most likely be down for the April 2nd meet. Probably won't do the wash/wax part, but will meet up for pictures.

As for the AKMotorwerk stuff, I'm installing my new steering wheel this weekend myself, and I may just hold off on the CDV delete as my car will be needing a new clutch in a few months...

Quick glimpse of my new wheels, let me know what you think.

5mm spacer on the front will help out a good bit, rears are M3 offsets, had to roll to get them in there and still rub occasionally.

Yea I want something wider than 5mm, trying to decide if I would rub when I drop the car on 10mm. Regardless, I took the 5's off and will give them to you when we meet up. I'll come to the wash/wax. BTW, car looks great!
