Clownage - Page 27 - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

The majority of the BMW's round here have the Halfords "M" badge, but unfortunately they don't take the biscuit.

We have a Mk4 Escort doing the rounds with the following on the boot:

VXR badge,
M Badge,
RS badge
& a Cosworth badge!

Best thing is Im pretty sure it's a normally aspirated diesel. Ill have to get a pic next time I see it!

Call me the odd one out here, but what's wrong with putting an M badge on the cars? If they're on a sport model or have certain parts fitted I don't see the major problem. If they have M3/5/6 etc then that's a different ball game altogether and they deserve to have their car crushed

And no, I don't have an M bage on my car

Anyone who goes to the trouble of sticking an 'M' badge or 'Mpower' on their car clearly wants to try and 'impress' others into thinking their car is better than it is. That in some way, the badge will hint at something special under the bonnet, or make up for something lacking in the trouser snake department. No great deal of course, this thread no more than a harmless piss take.

The varying degrees of sadness range are captured in this thread for all to see.

Yeah, I guess so. Thing is, the only people who notice a badge will know if it's warranted or genuine and those who don't care about that type of thing wouldn't even pay attention to an extra badge so they're pretty pointless in the main. So I guess they are pretty daft but not sure it warrants full on clownage in many of the pics I've seen
