BMW Sunshade

Anyone have that UV protecting sunshade from BMW and care to share their thoughts on that vs the generic ones?

I was also curious as to the size of it when folded up.

I would go generic; no need to spend more than $10 on a sunshade.

I wish I had a picuture of mine, it's flat grey and folds into itself. I just fold it into a smal circle and slide it between the passenge seat.

Sorry for the lack of guidance

All plastic sunshades, OEM or generic, will suppress uv essentially to the same degree - the only difference may be the fit and the folded size. Mine is generic, white, and folds into a rectangle which is about 8 inches wide and long enough to cover the windshield.

I have the BMW sunshade. (I had the Mini Cooper and the same type shade then too). Overall - even though the $$ is steep, it LASTS forever. It really helps keep the interior cooler and when folded, it is like an accordian style fold, about 8" wide so I just stand it on end (the height of the windshield, so it's not that tall and easily hidden behind the passenger seat) in the back on the floor. In the winter, I store it in its case and leave it in the garage. The only thing I would like to change is the freakin' HUGE BMW letters on it. Really - smaller letters would be better looking. Overall -
Good $$ spent. IMO.

Same. Have the BMW shade, fits great, does what it is supposed to. A little less advertising would have been nice though.

I am sure it is made by some other company. Search the net and you could probably find the same one (generic) cheaper.

custom fit to your car. Fits so perfectly that I don't even have to use the sun visors to hold it in. Love it.

i use one that i bought in china town for $1. It might not fit exactly the same as the BMW one, but it gets the job done and for way cheaper.

I have the BMW also. The letters are big, but who cares. Better than saying, PINTO.

I have the BMW shade that I bought from a BMW dealer. It's made of cardboard. I'm not sure if it will last very long. I would not buy it again.

The BMW sun shade is just a Covercraft UVS100 sunshade with big BMW letters on it.

I've used one for years. It fits perfect and will not weaken/sag over time. Sure it's not compact, but It's not a problem for me since I rarely have anyone in my back seat.
