Hmmm . . . I'm having a hard time theorizing how simply loosening the bolts on the striker plate, moving it away and then back to the exact same position, and then re-torqueing the bolts is going to solve the clicking problem. At least I understood the rationale (if not the inelegance) behind the "felt padding" method posted a while back. But who am I to question the BMW masterminds? I'm anxious to see if this actually works.

Good, I'm about to schedule a service appointment, and this is something that's gotten much worse in the past month. Thanks!

Wait till Sept, so they do the software update at the same time.

Nice, I can finally prove to the fools down at the dealership that I'm not imagining this noise.

Has anyone gone in for the fix, and did it work?

I get a clicking from near the right B pillar when I hit a bump in the road. Is this the issue?

just thought i would bump this up to see if anyone has gotten a successful fix from the dealer yet.

the ticking started a few days ago for me and right now i'm using the gum wrapper solution that minimizes the noise but it's still there.

I don't understand, I don't have my e90 yet, but I've adjusted the striker plates on almost all my cars for one reason or another. That's all this TSB is, so go to home depot and get a set of torx bits. Am I missing something here? I didn't see any mention of a redesigned striker plate being installed.

Most folks are too scared, too inept, or a bungly type to even want to mess with their car.

Ahh...I'm always they're going to break something else so if it's easy I'll do the work myself to make sure it gets done correctly. The conspiracy theorist in me says they break stuff on purpose so they can fix it and charge it as warranty work.

Once again, I'm bumping this thread to see if anyone has gotten their seatbelt click fixed with this tsb method??? It's surfaced in my car this week and it's killing me...tick tick tick click click click?

I am thinking of booking it in....but I want to know it will be fixed? Anyone?
