John @ Bimersport 0 stars out of 10

So, during the weekend my engine fan sounded like it was making popcorn popping sound, I though it was a branch. turns out Sunday while on the highway my belt screeched and bang, alternator/power steering belt went

---Car goes faster though interesting note without this belt lol

Anyway drop the car of this morning at bimmersport told John to replace the belt/tightener and change the oil.....

Dam Johnny forgot to tell the techs to change the oil so Charlie told me to rate his performace 0 stars out of 10.....

Other than that they did a great job, but don't trust johnny, he is forgetfull and we will have to hang him

Off topic MIKE N54 I saw you turbines off your car there stop boosting so much lol.

I hear you, he was to get me prices on tires two months ago, only got back to me once to tell me he is still working on it. LOL

So I bought from Sorta out west.

Off topic: Why would Mike take his turbos off?

Interesting how there is no mention of this in the FI forum... if he did indeed blow it running a tune, it would be the first blown turbo for jb3 would it not?

ummm...not totally true, my bro was probably the first with a jb3 for his turbos too go remeber . so thats 2 for jb3 lol....im jkin, these turbos arent the strongest and you could easily have wastegate and other problems with just the stock tune.

honestly its just the luck of the draw with these motors. and how heavy ur right foot is.

Wow you guys are bunch of detectives LOL

Not much to say as there was something wrong with the front turbo and yes its getting replaced. (Happy about the recent price drop as the new revised turbo and wastegate assembly were dirt cheap) Should get my car back today so will update you guys in the next few days. I was not driving my car when this happened so can't comment on that either. I can say this was isolated to one turbo and it looks like the shaft gave. I have the turbo so will update with some pics later on before I send it back to get my core charge refunded.

Mike

So you just updated to the new BMW stock turbos?

Why not get the upgrades?

Only one was replaced. Gonna wait on the upgrades until they come out and are in full circulation. Plus at 600bux for a brand new stock turbo with the upgrade assemblies is hard to complain at Maybe if both needed replacing I would think about it but I think we need a few more months for everybody to release their turbo upgrades.

I see the turbo upgrade in my future but probably next year.
