Damn german girlfriend - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

I have this german girlfriend that loves everything american and she is pissed that I'm getting a BMW 335i coupe. She wanted me to get a freaking Mustang and keeps telling me everyday how shitty the BMWs look and how awesome the Mustangs are.

What the hell do I do to convice her that my BMW is lightyears ahead of a Ford?

Oh I presented the facts, but she's the most stubborn person ever. I dunno. Every other soldier here buys one of those and then she hears the exhaust and is like wow.

I'm not worried about losing her to any german guy. To be honest, from what Ive seen, they are kinda too dorky to ever take a woman from an american. Not being mean, just honest.

1. She likes Mustangs more than BMW based on the fact that she likes all american stuff. But that comes also down to personal taste, so my statement may not have been fully correct. Please note the smiley at the end of the post.

This is my first BMW, and I love it, however I have not become what I have seen in this forum, a BMW fanatic. I have had Fords and Mazdas, and I was happy. BMW is clearly superior, but not cost-effective superior for most people. There are many other cars that are betther than a BMW, but not cost-effective to us. Let's not idolize the BMW - it's just a car made by humans who are part of company that want to make money.

I agree with you on your last sentence, but maybe I'm wrong when I say that what sets BMW apart from most is the quality, reliability, and drivability. In my opinion, American cars are way lower in quality compared to Euro/Asian vehicles.

Of course they are also more expensive!

Hey I apologize about my comments. I mean whether they are fact, those comments about german men being dorks came from german girls, or not I should have kept it to myself.

Actually Bamberg rocks. Its a college town with lots of parties and things to do. Its not berlin, but its cool.

Of course it depends on what you define as cool. Playing Jenga or Pictionary maybe cool for you?

Its not that she's shallow or likes me just for my car. Its that if its not some american muscle car, then she thinks anything else is garbage. Well, not counting ferrari's and stuff like that.
