2008 E60 - iPod connector - iPhone 3GS - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

My 2008 BMW 528i has an iPod connector built in (glove box). When connecting an iPhone 3GS I get the message "...iPhone not compatible with this accessory..."

Has anyone had this problem?

If so, any solutions without buying yet another connector?

hey - my car also has the ipod connector cable - i am the 2nd owner of the car, and i looked in the glove box and the ipod connector is not there.

am i not looking hard enough? is there some secret storage? did the previous owner take the ipod cable? any possible way i can get a new ipod cable?

The connector in my car was added on at the dealership.

yup that cable is definitely not there.

how do i get one and put another one in?

The dealership added it for a fee. Not sure how easy it is to add it yourself...
