Boston GTG next weekend??? 12/9 or 12/10 - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

People up for a small GTG next weekend??? I really want to see the new coupe in person. Maybe we could meet somewhere, take some pictures, look at some cars, possibly grab a bite to eat, go for a small drive.. Whatever people are interested in. Let me know if you are interested. Post your thoughts here. Weather looks like it will be sunny and clear..

PS. I'll try to send the Boston people I see a link to this, make sure to spread the word as well.

I just came up with the yesterday/this morning, and just sent out the pm you received. I was commenting on someone's e92 in Boston and someone else's and was thinking I really want to see the new coupe in person. Then I looked at the weather next weekend and it looks nice, so I thought it would be cool to have a small GTG, meet some people, see some nice cars, maybe grab some food or go for a drive. Seeing your M5 and others would be great, feel free to spread the word. As for location/time I was hoping we could discuss this hear and setup something that works for as many people as possible... I know it's really last minute, and wouldn't expect a huge turnout like the SoCal'ers have, but if we got a bunch of random people and cars together I think it could be a really good time.. There are a lot of people in this area who I think want to be active but nothing is really going on..

Count me in, as long as you consider a Boston area get-together to be somewhere actually *in* Boston. I've tried to attend get-togethers in the past (when I had my A4), yet the "Boston area" always ended up being in Randolph or New Hampshire. Go figure.

How are you handling your break-in period? Taking the gentle/"baby the car" approach or the "drive it like you mean it" approach?

I have roughly 250 miles on my car right now. I've pushed it hard once on an on-ramp, but that's about it. I've been gentle with it. I can tell though that it is starting to break in - running a bit smoother, etc.

This is looking like it could be a fun turnout! Which day is better for people, and do you guys want to grab a bite to eat? Any suggestions on location? I'm thinking just west of Boston or in Boston would be good so anyone from north or south has about the same trek. Any suggestions? We could meet at something scenic for nice pictures, or just meet at a chili's or something to get a bite to eat. It's going to be 40 or so it might be kind of cold to be outside for an extended period of time.. We could do a small drive from the scenic place to get food. Whatever people want, just throw it out here. Anyone who knows those areas well especially..
