Excellent choice. I have seen the reports of several that have done the euro delivery and they all seem to have a great time. In a couple of years when I get a new car I plan on doing the same.

I've never heard of anyone being disappointed, even if the weather was bad.

How does the European Delivery program work? Cost savings? More choices?

Just curious, what interior color did you get. Congrats on the new car coming in a month. It would be a long wait still

I got the black dakota leather with the dark burl walnut trim.
From what I heard it is the longest 8-10 weeks (if you live on the west coast) of your life after you drop your car off to be shipped here.

I got quite a bit of savings doing the ED. Honestly if you like to travel it is the best thing to do. I don't think you get more options which is a shame considering how customizable these cars for the European market are.

A friend of mine did his a couple of years ago and had a blast. I'll keep you guys posted on how mine goes.

I'll keep my E46 pretty much until my new car arrives around the end of August if everything goes smoothly.

Alright,

Finally added some pics of my ED. Dropped the car off on June 15th in Munich and am still waiting for it. Visited following places during the two week stay:
Munich (obviously), Fussen (Neuschwanstein Castle), Garmisch Parten-Kirchen (Zugspitze), Bolzano in Italy, Stelvio Pass, Davos in Switzerland, Possibly Lichtenstein...took a little detour, Freiburg in Germany, Back to Munich to drop the car off, Flew to Paris

One piece of advice:
Nav of some sort is an absolute must!!! Figured that I'd be able to navigate easily...yeah right! The damn street signs are so tiny...especially when you're used to the billboard-sized ones in U.S.
Got to Bolzano and was so fed up that I bought a portable Tom Tom.

Many Congratulations!

Seems like the longest wait ever to lay your hands back on the car!

Thanks.

I was trying not to go too crazy during the break in period.
The fasted I got was 130 mph for a brief period on the autobahn going from Freiburg to Munich.

Even at that I was slowing down this 318i behind me
