Bearing Ledge

I just got my 335 repaired. Apparently it was a bearing legde that was bad. How do you prevent this from happening? Before this happened, I would go past 5000 rpm and then after that limp mode would kick in. When I turned the car off and back on the car would go back to normal. Jus wondering what caused this. And believe me I hardly drive it beyond 5000 rpm only when someone wants to get boosted.

+1, changing the oil more frequently is good insurance and about all you can do. Could have just been a manufacturing flaw also and nothing you could have done to prevent it.

Nah, not total crap. It really depends on how hard the car is driven. 15K is fine for most. I had lab analysis done at 15K and 30K intervals. Absolutely fine. However, go ahead and change the oil more frequently if it makes you feel better or somehow you know there is a benefit.
