goddamn, i downloaded the driver for the cable and its set to com4 now and the proceed still wont connect. looks like im gonna have to get in the ecu and check it out. this is getting annoying

If you have com4 on your computer (device manager) then set com port on the Procede User software by going to [Comms ->Comms Setup -> Set Com port to COM4.
Then you'll be

haha SBizzle is santa barbara ca. thanks for the help guys, i finally got it to work by re-downloading the user software. wow this v4 is waaaay better than the v3 auto tune i was running on my MT. kinda hard to tell the increase in HP cus its sooo smooth. i felt like chipping my 1.8t a4 felt like more of a difference.

I feel the OPs pain. I had some unknown USB cable for my Procede and none of the drivers I found would work. Took me a while to find it, then after doing a blind search for USB DB9, I found my cable and the appropriate drivers from the manufacturer.
