Manny's Offical Build Thread

2015 UPDATES ON PAGE 3!!!

I've been around for a bit, so I guess I'm due for a build thread that I can update since my car keep changing. When I got this car, my plan was to leave it stock... boy did I fail.

**Warning: This thread contains a good amount of pictures and info of the transformation of my 335i over the last 3 years. I've tried my best to keep it as short as possible while trying to give some provide enough info to avoid questions. If you don't like to read, just look at the pictures. **

2011: Stock Pre-LCI e92 335i

Tinted the tail lights and side markers for better contrast.

Upgraded the stock yellow AE and fog bulbs to MTEC 4,350K.

After hearing about cp popping off and how restrictive the stock intake is, I upgraded to aFe DCI and Evolution Racewerks anodized black charge pipe with HKS SSV4 BOV for a clean/stock look.

Finish 2011 with painted reflector since I wanted the cleanest look possible.

2012: Year of the Sleeper.

This when the mod bug bit me. Wanted to work on performance while retaining the stock appearance. After being impressed with Evolution Racewerks cp, I hit up Fred and ordered their anodized black FMIC and Macht Schnell ceramic dp to help performance in Florida heat.

I immediately installed the intercooler and couldn't be happier. I waited to install the dps until I got a tune. I then made a phone call to Alan @ MB to order the Cobb AP and a set of Alufelgen CS7.

Wanted to get rid of the front plate mount, but had to cover the holes. Since the car was an European Delivery, I figured a euro plate would go well with it.

Since I was starting to get a lot of stickers, I found a place to put them where they didn't draw a lot of attention to the car.

Found some few car events around the panhandle to take my car. I know it wasn't a show car, but to me it was clean and I LOVED it! Oh yeah, just installed my Bilstein PSS9 to stiffen up the suspension.

After looking at my wheels, I realized something had to be done with my calipers. I decided to paint them blue, threw on a decal, and add stock caps to the wheels for a cleaner look.

Mid 2012, I started to see more LCI e92 and envy'd the angel eyes and couldn't find a solution to satisfy my taste... until I called up Louis @ OSS Design and set up an appointment. Let's say the 10 hour drive to Miami was worth it

At that point, I couldn't believe it was the same car. Sleek styling and had the performance that shocked many. The only thing was left was to add a performance lip, plastidip my grilles, and do a photoshoot!!!!

Panama City 2012

At the end of 2012, I moved to Vegas and into EuroSquad... the rest is history.

2013 Las Vegas, NV (Home of EuroSquad)

At this moment, I realized that my car wasn't going to stay a sleeper and modding NEVER ends. It's more than a hobby, it's an addiction. Since my car ran aggressive, I wanted the appearance to match. After I debadged my car, people mistaken it for a 328i and M3 (which are both great cars) and often called 'cute' . So my new goal was to go for something different. To make it stand out from an average 3 series and differentiate from a M3. JG Mods made that possible with their perfect fitment parts.
New year, new look... plus I destroyed my lip anyway

And you know you can't give a girl a make over without new shoes. Wanted 3 piece wheels and couldn't pass up these HRE 840r. Love hidden hardware on wheels. Also picked up StopTech stage 2 brake kit.

After seeing how hot Vegas can get, it was time to release some heat and shed some weight with a new cf hood and emblems.

Grab a ddm tuning HID kit for the fog lights to match the AE.

Play time (Spend thousands in mods, might as well take advantage)

I guess that leave us until recently. I wanted to paint my hood, but wanted it painted a way I haven't seen yet. I got to say, I'm glad it came out the way I pictured.

2013

2014
Been gone for a while, spending time and money on my new hobby (reef tanks). No updates on the car, but I will be ordering turbos this year once I figure out which kit. Here's a few shots until then.

MFEST 2014!!!

Change up the wheels a bit. Had them rebarrelled and powder coated Speedway Black + Gloss.

Audi R8 tried to take me on the straightaway... not today!

Lexus LFA tried to pass me also... he was successful

Recaro Profi XL with custom Black Suede cushions.

After a few events, the car perform like it should but lacking one thing... TRACTION! It's good to be able to gain ground on the straight aways, but pointless if you lose just as much in the curves. To remedy the one wheel struggle, my new sponsor MFactory Competition Products help me put the power to the ground. Street and track review coming soon.

The switch to Mtech front really started it off IMO. Great build man

Cool build, I'd paint that hood though to keep it classy if you aren't going full on aggressive with the entire car

I REALLY like the calipers. Ive been looking for an alternative to Brembo or a more expensive solution. Im going to repaint and put a BMW emblem, then replace the stock rotors with cross drilled.

Manny, I really like what you have done. Treat work! I used to have a Tiag E92, loved that car.

My only suggestion would be to think about painting the outer ovals of the kidney grills in Tiag, this would give you a better definition/contrast between your front bumper and hood. Maybe someone can photoshop this for you.

Keep up the good work!

Sounds good. The StopTech components I have are good enough for track and great on the streets. I have no complaints. BBK looks good, but not really a need for me yet. Maybe after I upgrade my turbos I'll get StopTech Trophy kit.

Thanks. I thought about that idea on the grills, but deciding to get CF grills before completing the front.

Now your car looks super cute!

JK, it looks mean. Nice mods, and the fact that its playa, yet still very functional gets props.

I think next: LCI tails, new skirts, and black the window trim would finish the requirements!

Lol, good one. Thanks S.S. Functionally is my main concern since I hit the tracks here and there. The 'playa' is for the streets.

I'm still iffy on those tails. I think they only pop on certain colors, mostly dark. I like the window trim since my wheels face are brushed aluminum as well as my dash.

Thanks. Painting the whole hood would defeat the purpose of doing something different.
