e92 collected + pics

i picked up the new wheels at the weekend and have spent most of the weekend driving/washing/polishing. ive always wanted a black car but not sure if im gonna end up regretting that choice after a few months

the car drives like a dream and is even more amazing than what i remembered, the 'smile' pedal is definatley working to 100% efficiency all i can say is that i completely echo all the other comments/reviews on how this little car drives, relaxed when you want to be and a beast when you dont.

i definatley made the right choice in choosing this particular model as it is the perfect car for me. i even managed to get 47mpg on the way to work this morning!!!

anyhow pics of the car below and also my first 'mod'. its not really a mod but i have brick walls on either side of my drive and those large doors are very unforgiving! so needs must, still not bad though imo..

Car looks stunning Ghosty mate. Gorgeously shiny.

The 335d is a cracking motor like you say. May I ask how many miles on her? Jet or Saphire black?

Also can you just be more careful opening the doors?

nice looking car, my first mod would be rear tints as they will look awesome with that colour.

What rear tints? I do not know of any for the E92 as of yet. I like the standard redness. Looks good against dark colours.

Standard out of the factory yes SE comes with Chrome. Shadow line can be spec'd.

You can source the trim, either from a breakers or from the dealer and fit yourself. Dont Vinyl it.

Thought about a re-map?

i quite like the chrome round the windows anyway so may not even think about changing it. as for remap, not something im currently thinking about, but maybe something to consider in the future. at the moment there are plenty of horses to play with, no complaints on that department at all from me

Oh yes I agree, the car is far from lacking standard. Just its so begging for a re-map.

LOL... I did try prove a point to someone, and did achieve 47mpg over 8 miles. I really.... REALLY struggled.

On the way back 8 miles I averaged 18mpg.

yeah that was 60 miles near enough all motorway this morning @6am so not overly busy

the journey back this afternoon was not so economical given the earlier accident on the m25. so the journey this morning plus the trip home averaged just under 40mpg today. but im happy with that if thats an indication of things.

thats just the average for todays driving as i reset it this morning before i set off. all the playing i did over the weekend doesnt count as that would bring things right down, lol

there is only so fast you can go on the m25 no matter how powerful your car is

47 mpg..... how the hell did you get that? was it down hill?

i am getting 36, had it up to 42 on a motorway, but that was keeping to 70, and very light foot work.

love the car thought, i am in week two and liking it more. shame about how dirty my car is now though

i dont know, thats what the computer said. i zero'd it before i set off and it hit 47mpg by the time i got to the office. just a general cruise round the m25, didnt really stop at all as it was free flowing, but was forced to do 50 through the road work sections which always helps fuel ecenomy i guess

you could always do what my old man has done a stick some foam to the walls where the door would hit.

Great looking car, had my 335D for about a year now and lately i've been thinking about mapping it, not that it needs it, it's just that I think I'm used to the power now, and sometimes find myself wanting a little more.

Don't think I've ever managed 47mpg on mine, but I don't drive at 60. doing motorway miles and average motorway speeds (making progress with the flow of traffic in the outer lanes) I normally get around the 40mpg mark

Looks nice

Always liked those wheels - got to be better than 225's with run flats - talk about busting your knackers....

right, i did another little experiment on the way to work this morning to test this fuel consumption thing. hopefully a more accurate representation since i was reading the manual last night to work out how to reset the counters etc.

ok so i reset my mpg counter on the dashboard and also reset the journey computer on the idrive at the same time, and here are the results for the trip into work this morning
