Just got quoted from DirectBuy Warranty! GREAT Price

Just thought I'd pass this information along. I just spoke with someone from DirectBuy Warranty because of an email they sent me. They are currently running a labor day special of $900 off as well as 1 free year. Terms are exclusionary which is what we as car owners want and he told me that he would throw in the tire protection for free, which guarantees our run-flats for the entire term of the service agreement.

"Complete bumper to bumper" minus wear and tear of course.

Also, we pay a $0 deductible and THEY pay the shop, so no receipts necessary.

3 years - $1660, 36k miles

5 years - $2190, 60k miles

What do you guys think?

I'd do more research. You have to be careful of the fine print, and if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. Just be careful!

I'd also ask your local credit union (if you bank with one) if they offer any service plans as well. My BMW dealer had mentioned that they have great results with the one that mine uses (Mercury Insurance.) He seemed to imply that the dealer doesn't really care either way what brand they work with - it's more about how easy they can get funded.

Good luck.
