The Highline was listed as a separate model on the BMW configurator and was released in spring/summer last year and was available until the end of 2009 (at least, it no longer appeared on the configurator then).

In SE spec (E92), for an extra 750, you got leather, Type 189 alloys (18"), and bluetooth.

In m-sport spec you got leather, bluetooth and 19" Type 225 alloys for your extra 750. As these cars were officially listed BMW models, company car drivers could save some B.I.K. whilst getting the more common and desirable options as speccing these in a normal SE would have cost you an extra 2,600.

It wasn't all philanthropic by BMW, dealer margins on the Highline were lower so if BIK wasn't an issue to you, getting the standard car and haggling worked out just as well..
