pretty interesting video, I would have thought the 335 would really beat the 545, although none of the races looked fair (someone always got a jump start).

it's a pretty close race considering the 335i was auto, it's much easier launching a car with manual tranny.

No doubt.

What great way to disrespect a 335i by ordering it with a steptronic.

We all make our own choices for options so to say that ordering a Step is disrespect to the 335 is a pretty stupid remark. If anyone is disrespecting its you. The car is a car manual or step!

Completely turn off DSC, push on the brake, push on the gas...

When I took my test drive back, the SA looked at the rear quarters behind the wheel's and shook his head... step is da'bomb.

it's their choice, you don't see people ragging on your particular choice of ext/int color combo, do you?

I didn't pay close attention to the 545i but the 355i had 2 passengers in the car during the race.

very interesting. The 3rd (I guess) race looks like the fairest of the group and they ran pretty even. I would have expected the 335i to do much better. Driver issues maybe?

Why 335 Lost (making my self feel good)

1) 335 had two drivers in the car
2) 335 was auto (not being disrespectful here just pointing out manuals have more HP and launch better.)
3) Uneven starts by both cars in every race.

from the way i see the driving, i can get nothing from this vid, seriously...

even if i dont know the 0-60 numbers of these 2 cars, i wouldnt conferm that the the 545 is quicker...

but since i DO know the numbers, i know this video has no truth in it...

Either way, both rides are nice. Hell...they're both "Ultimate Driving Machines."

1) the second person did not get in the car until after the third race
2) Manuals do NOT have more hp, the engines in both the manual and the auto produce the exact same hp.
3) I fully agree with you on this one!

WAO. I love that sounds. Doing burnouts like that doestn harm the car? What would be the consequences? Rear brakes getting warped]?

1) I just noticed that as well, didn't pay too much attention.

2) I'll have to disagree with you on that one posted resultes (I'm looking for them they are on this forum somewhere) show that the auto tranny looses more HP to the wheels then the manual.

That Video made me sad......I got my 335i 6MT, my brother has the 2005 M3 Manual, we raced the 1/4M four times, and i beat him 3 out of 4 times, why would you spend $1200 MORE...! for getting a slower car?????? trade it in before you get beat up by a IS 350 and make us all 335i owners be ashamed.
