FS: Passport 8500 X50 RED ~ 1 week old

SOLD

$200+shipping obo
$200 picked up obo: San Francisco, Ca

Hardwire cable, case, box, manuals (still in original wrapper) included. Everything the unit came w/ and more.
Hardwire cable is a cut telephone cord pre-set up and pre-tested to work.

FYI, blue and red units are identical (performance/technology/components) save the led colors.

I received the unit as a birthday present from my friends over summer. I installed it for about a week and then removed it. The unti has since then spent its time in its box. The unit therefore is no really 1 week old, but it has only spent about 1 week outside of its box and is in great condition. There is a minor scuff from when I temporarily placed it in my glove compartment when I removed it. Pictures below:

fyi, there is absolutely no difference btwn red and blue technology wise, it's simply a difference in the color of the leds; the red and blue are identical units w/ identical performance. leds simply cost more to produce for some reason.

This is so tempting but I'm way over-extended on my Mod Budget. Someone is going to get great deal

blue led's are relatively new technology. It took a long time to find the right material to transmit in the blue spectrum. Part of the reason blue ray players(ps3) are expensive and hard to get.

If I didn't have to buy christmas gifts I'd jump on that radar detector. Great price. My wife needs one for her car. I need to repo mine out of her car...haha

Yes, true. But for some reason the blue sells for about 40-50 dollars more than the red.

correct, that's due to the production costs of blue leds vs red leds.
