Mmmmm. I thought I'd like that, but not so sure. Not brilliant looking, is it?

Touring probably looks better.

I wonder if leather is extra (its standard on 5er SEs).

Fair comment, I am a bit predictable!

The back end is a bit fussy though. The 5er SE looks cleaner.

I don't like it in white either, but thats just me!

Quite like it - rear overhangs too long, silly Yankified rear lights but otherwise good.

Have a feeling our next car might be a new shape 5er Touring...

not 100% about it, new 5 I like, this looks like half a job, like they didn't want to go too sport but it doesn't jell for me yet, inside looks nice

I quite like it, although like others a little reserved about the rear.

I'm guessing this is US spec and we won't have the reflectors on the rear bumper? So may change the look of the rear a little. anyone know?

Interesting that it has UK plates on it. Is it an import or UK spec?

Looks nice, reflectors on the bumper are a bit silly but overall, not a bad looking machine.

Like it (as i expected to), so glad I didnt order an SE.....also like those 19" wheels esp. compared to others offered for the F10.



But I'm happy with my D3

Hmmm. I'm struggling to love it, to be honest.

I don't think it looks as aggressive as the previous shape M-Sport.

As per others comments, the rear end doesn't give me the horn.

The worst aspect, for me, is the wheels; what's with all this 5 spoke stuff recently? Have we travelled back to 1994 and no one has told me about it?

The (optional) 19" wheels on the last 5'er M sport were one of my favourite wheel designs ever. The Bangle 5 needed big wheels to look right, and this new one is the same. Look at the pic below - these are 19's - it looks drastically underwheeled to me.

Would have liked some better rim designs - the ones for the M-Sport, both 18s and 19s don't seem to flatter the car in my opinion. Not fond of the black diffuser styling either, would have preferred it to match the body colour, like the E60 or F01. Bit disappointed, I was scoping this car for next year - but may change targets now.

By the way, it's a UK car - probably one of the first in, no tax disc yet - right hand drive though, probably not a US spec car - Looks like the reflectors are there to stay - all be it repositioned

It's pretty cool man, I think it looks good.
It's a bit big for me but I think it's an improvement over the outgoing model, for sure.

I agree, but compared to the SE wheel options, those 19's are good!!

Nah, the E60 M-Sport was and still is an epic looking car IMO. It's a bit marmite though.

But of course, fit 22s on 20 profile tyres to it and wonder why it rides like a Neolithic cart made of rocks.

But at least it will "look" good...

I hope no one is referring to these wheels - utterly minging and remind me of a metal salad spinner:

Yup, they are exactly the wheels I was referring to. I personally think they look fantastic on that car.

In my opinion moving to a wheel design that apes that of the mid 90's is a giant step backwards in design terms.

19" wheels on the E60, in my opinion, are required from a design point of view for the car to look its best - anything less than that and the wheel arch to wheel/tyre combo ratio looks out of balance.

Having enlarged the car further, BMW have recreated the same issue of wheel arch/wheel size balance and I think a 19" wheel looks too small on a car of that size.

Cars don't have to ride badly on large wheels/shallow profile depth tyres. Most of the guys on here with large wheels/shallow profile depths that have dropped the runflats in favour of non-run flats will tell you the ride has improved immeasurably.
