How are the Bridgestone Potenza's Holding Up? - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

I've got 2200 miles on my Potenza sport pkgs summer perf. tires. I have heard all kinds of estimates re: how long the tires will last. Any reports so far with treadwear after X number of miles? Thx.

I also have about 2200 miles on my car and already I had to spend $390 to replace one of my Runflats (side wall ripped). I'm not impressed with these tires :mad:

I've never been a big Bstone fan. I had the el42 turanzas on a previous car and they were pretty weak. I wondered if these tires will last 10,000 or 15,000 or X number of miles before needing replacement. Looking fwd to Michies.

or will you be looking to purchase non run flats when the time comes?

I too have 2200 miles on my 330 w/Bridgestone's. Tread looks good....but I did reduce the inflation of the tires upon the car's return to the States. I'm pretty sure that's helping.

I've got the 18 inch potenzas and at 6,000 miles .. very little wear. I measures the tread depth early on at ~.320 inches. Still over .30 inches. Seems they will do a good job. Changing to 17 inch Blizzaks in a month or so; Minnesota wintes and all.

I was a little dissappointed at first when I saw my car came with the Bridgestones (I was really hoping to get the Pirellis) but even though I only have 211 miles on the car so far I must say that they stick to the road like glue!

No complaints here!

BTW, I know its a little off-topic but since winter will be upon us soon, what type of winter tires are good?

pirelli has no talent for making tires, all they have is a "cool" sounding italian name. My E90 is the second set of pirelli's I've owned and they're pure garbage. Minimal grip and lots of squealing.

i have the bridgestones on my Z4, pirelli's on the 325
the bridgestones are FAR superior

wow i didnt know pirellis were that bad. I must admit, i have no experience with pirellis and was mostly drawn to them because of the name. they do make good calenders though

I have the stock 16" Bridgestone Turanzas with over 6,000 so far. They seem to be wearing nicely. I plan to have them rotated soon.

I too am shocked to hear this! I love my Bridgestones but about 5 years ago, I had Pirellis on my Ford Thunderbird and they were great! Maybe their quality has gone down?

I was always wary of Bridgestone's 'cause of what happened with Ford, but no longer....
