Squeaky noise when turning right

I have this noise too. I had front pads, rotors, sensors, and rear pads and sensors replaced under warranty due to this noise and I'm not sure how long it was fixed, but less than 10k miles later it is back. I notice it mostly turning right in the parking deck, but then I only turn right in the parking deck. I have on occasion heard it at a stop where I don't turn and it makes it when I just take back off in a straight line. when I called the dealer again about it he mentioned it could be anything including wheel bearing. I've had a wheel bearing go bad on my e36 so I know what that sounds like (it is more of a low frequency roaring sound) and this sounds like a high pitch squeal in sync with the rotation of the tire. I do not believe that it is a wheel bearing because they usually make sounds at speed. this appears to only happen right after you take off the brakes, more like a sensor is touching the pads for a few rotations. bmw supposedly shortened the sensors due to this problem and the dealer told me he didn't think that was the problem, but I think that since the rear pads are pretty thin from the factory and don't last more than about 17k miles it seems on my car that it is more likely the sensor rubbing. I find it hard to believe that many people with less than 50k miles having the same wheel bearing going bad and it just seems to only happen after applying the brakes..

My 335i is in the shop today, for this exact problem. This is the 3rd visit, each of the first 2 trips they said, "we've got it fixed", and it squeaked before I got off the lot. We'll see....

- had the same sound in my old g37s, they said they had to replace what i said above...pop the hood and u can see where its attached too. unfortunately no way of driving with hood open and turning the wheel and listening....your word vs BMW = BMW wins. I had a rattle in B pillar and one dealer in MD said we cant replace it unless we hear it...why would a customer make that up to get something like that replaced...i can see something with tech or w/e but not a rattle thats common. - trying a different dealer in dec for my oil change and asking them. |

i have the same exact problem when turning at slower speeds ...either left or right ...you can hear it when turning up a parking deck or even turning into my neighborhood...it sounds like its coming from the front driver side wheel ...but its hard to pinpoint as I am driving ...i wonder if anyone has found a solution yet...ive read all of this thread already...and its the same...i have brought it into the dealership like someone in this thread...and they could not replicate the issue....how annoying...its weird how i can only reproduce it when im not at the dealership

has anyone really fixed this issue? I've had this issue for over 2 years. I'm using bmw performance brake on my E90 LCI.
Noise was on both sides when turn. No matter fast or slow, the noise in sync. If windows are closed, i can't hear but it's very ignoring and embarrassing when drive downtown.....seems everyone notices the noise.... ![]() The weird is that the noise is now only on one side since i've changed my tires 3 months ago..... just wonder if anyone really did something which fixed this issue....

I had the brake squeal symptom when only turning right for the past year. It was so annoying and I was creep into garages at like 1mph turning right so it wouldn't squeal. I searched and searched for months and eventually settled on thinking I took a pothole and the wheel hub went bad. I was wrong. I needed new brakes and had them replaced several weeks back. I hoped the new set of rotors/pads would fix the squeal, but didn't get my hopes up. From the time I picked it up with new rotors/pads, my car is completely quiet. It was 100% for sure the brakes. |

For those unsure whether the noise is from inside or outside the vehicle - my interior blower motor squeaks when making a brisk right turn. On an onramp I have time to tap it off and it stops. Turn it back on and you hear it. Shop foreman at the dealer says they see them doing exactly that all the time and replace the motor.
