Is there a difference between the interface for idrive and non idrive cars? I know there is a price difference right?

From what I can remember it is the same p/n for non-i-Drive E9Xs and i-Drive E9Xs. I will look at the bulletin when I get home.

how much is the install at BMW service? I know there were a few problems with some people trying to get this done... but i want one.

Im being charged 2.5 hours for the install. Most places, its been around 2-2.5 hours of labor to install it...

Without I drive you do get the artist / song info. I had it a week and it beats a CD changer.
FYI Cost me $300 for the dealer to install a unit I previously purchased.

$300?! my god, do it yourself and save the cash. the wires as the only slightly tricky part, but its not like you will blow up the car if you miswire the plug. Dealer should only charge $50 for software
