The more expensive aero racks use the rapid aero load bars from Thule. Those are more aerodynamic and silver, while the standard bars are square and black. People like the look of the aero bars better and they should be quieter. What Thule cargo product do you have that you want to use on your car?

Do you want to use this on your fit or your BMW? If it is your BMW, is it a coupe or sedan?

It's for the E90.......

i'm still debating if it is worth it to spend $300 for something that i will probably use maybe once a year or once every two years.....

Every car has different boxes they can hold. I would need to know the make, model and year of your Lexus and the model of the box to find out if this would fit on your BMW.

Do you have the Thule windsurfer attachments for the aero?

And could someone post up a close-up photo of the fit on the roof?

Nope. That's for surfboards.

Thule says for Aero:

WINDSURF CARRIERS

Based on our product testing of your vehicle, we do not have a product in this category that we recommend for use.

I'm sorry they don't have anything yet. They have a bunch of new products coming out later this year for 2009, maybe they will have something then.

If he has Thule bike carriers, they should work on your Thule E90 rack no problem. You may need an adapter if you get the rapid aero bars, but those are pretty inexpensive.

Use coupon code 'LaborDay2008' to get $25 off any order of $250 or more from now until Monday. That brings the price of the Thule racks to $276.99 for the Podium Aero and $235.99 for the standard rack.
