New M-Tech Steering Wheel INSTALLED

I've put about 50 miles on it so far and my inital thoughts are that I'm in love. It has such a much better "in control" and sportier feel than my Sport wheel and it's very comfortable to hold. Install went without incident and it works perfectly---steering is dead-on. In my opinion, $300 well spent.

I like the all black look instead of the M colors like the M cover has. I wish you could even that steering wheel with just black stitching.

Nice Steering wheel. Your crs interior looks great. What type of wood is that? And which carpets are those?

ill never understand why people put M stuff on non m bmws

that wheel maybe because its not badged, but why the m pedals

its like the "m" i saw yesterday had an m badge stuck next to the three (clearly incorrectly placed) and an "m" badge where the bmw sign used to be, which they dont do, and it was faded really bad, and it deffinatly wasnt an m because it didnt have the exhaust

Overall, I agree with what you're saying. I made an acception with the M pedals because it's something that very few people are going to see and because I like how they look. The M logo wasn't a reason for buying them and if the pedals didn't have the M logo I would have bought them all the same.

lol theres a lot of m stuff for non m cars... the 3 series in europe has the m-package option or whatever its called and you get the m body, m steering wheel, m shifter, etc...

i think its just another mod... who cares... putting oem-style or oem M mods is alot different from putting an ///M sign on the rear of your car. the ///M is not a mod...where as the steering wheel is... but yes badging M is pretty lame unless your car is an M.

Since I have the M Pack on my 330i (it was the only way to get it in Le Mans blue), I can tell that the M stands for Marketing, and not Motorsport
There are more ///M logos in the e91 than in the M Coupé who sleeps in the same garage

Very nice. I don't believe my M-sport wheel has the colored stitching.

There is nothing wrong with wanting a nice, more substantial feeling steering wheel, even if it were to come with a "M" on its cover.

It's a steering wheel man, not an M3 badge. And that thick wheel feels 10 times better than the original. Ever see all the M trim on the x3 sport package cars?

Exec it looks great!!!
I actually just got mine today as well...
It absolutely stunning and feels awesome. I think that in comparison with the original steering wheel that comes with the sports package E92 335 this steering wheel is light years away.
Thicker, Much more comfortable and nicer leather...
Now in terms of wanting your car to look like an M, i hate that.
I would never ever put any M tags or stickers or logos anywhere inside or outside of my car.
And as Exec did i will be leaving my original cover not getting the M one...
But the reason why i got this steering wheel as well is because of all the reasons mentioned above and because that 3 color stiching ( with the red included) will look fabulous with my Coral Red interior leather...

Yeah... I know, what a chode. He thinks just because everyone sees them //M logo on his pedals they are going to think it's an M
[/sarcasm]
