CNET reviews the 335is. Best exhaust the reviewer has listened to!

Enjoy:

From HOMEPAGE.
Quote:
CNET is now also reviewing autos and their latest review is the 2011 335is. This review covers the gamut from the car technology to performance to style. The reviewer is most impressed with the car's no frills performance philosophy - as a knife which gets the job done. As he puts it, BMW has succeeded in "elegant directness" with the 335is.

That guy is pretty good. Been watching a bunch of reviews by him.

I test drove the e93 335is and it is the best exhaust I have heard also..
Love how it pops and gargles

It's actually not all that more expensive than a regular 335i spec'd similarly. Actually I just tried and the difference comes out to being only ~$4k. That difference includes getting DCT Transmission, a bit more power and extra cooling already in place allowing for a bit more headroom for future turning.

+1. No BS. Just the cold hard facts.

The only thing I wished was that the iS came standard with 19s style 313s rather than 18s.

Can't argue with that. I won't start another one of those threads though.

How does the 335d exhaust sound?

He never talked about it in the 335d review. Any comments/ comparisons/ insights guys?

Why I think reviews like these are bogus is the way the guy wont stop yelling. Then, he calls the L7 bogus, yet he states there are 11 speakers. If there are only 11, which of the former 13 are missing. Did he even take the time to count? Again, which 2 are missing? Are they highs, mids, or are the subs missing under the seats?

i was expecting a more blanket, generalized review from CNET, but i was pretty impressed with what it seems like someone who actually spends time with these vehicle. Even coming in relatively correct with n54 and n55 model differences.

Exhaust sounds lovely btw
