Recommend me a Sat Nav please.
I am on the lookout for a new sat nav unit.
I previously had two Tom Tom units, but the battery life has been shocking, and now the charger port is fooked and won't allow me to charge the damn thing. I want - - Widescreen, and reasonably large sized screen. - Good build quality. - FULL postcode search. - Something that can be updated easily with all the speed camera locations. Don't mind last years models, or possibly even refurbished. Looking to spend no more than £150, preferably around £100. Personal recommendations preferred please. Cheers.

I have a Garmin 1240. It's only a small screen (3.5") but it was ok for me, easy to use. It didn't have traffic on it but you can get a cable that gives you lifetime traffic on it. Do you have a comfort climate windscreen? as the coating messes with the aerial. I am going to sell it as I have just changed car to one with Nav.

I have a Garmin that I've used here, France, and Spain and it worked like a charm even avoiding traffic and it had speed cameras for France as well!

We have a Garmin nuvi 1390t its the dogs.
https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=32700&ra=true we have downloaded the north america maps onto the unit for 50quid and its helping me in orlando. Id even now consider buying a car without a built in NAV unit, as this is so good. we only paid about 160 but i think its worth every single penny

Garmin Nuvi 760- Had mine for 4 years and it's never missed a beat. Mine has blue tooth and mp3 built in and is wide screen with free updates. You can turn off the voice and just follow the instructions on screen, it's a really nice piece of kit.Paid £130 and it has been worth ever penny
