Its nice to see some of you guys are so friendly, but this whole "waving" thing doesnt work out too well for BMWs. 80% of people who drive BMWs drive them because they need a car and "what the hell, why not a BMW?".

In contrast to people who ride motorcycles who ride motorcycles because "crap, I really want a motorcycle even if my parents are pretty pissed about it". Works out much better when riding a bike.

Edit: And when I'm out on my boat, I only wave to people who have a skier in the water to let them know I see them.

Actually, that's not true. I saw a really nice looking e90 the other day stopped at a light. The guy rolled down his window and asked me if it was a 335i, I said yes. He said, "bimmerforums?" and I said "yes! and e90post!" I didn't catch his name because the light changed, but it just goes to show you, we are everywhere.

Here we go again, the Larry David "we're Prius people" scenario....we wave because we have the same car, and expect a wave in return!

But to date, I've only seen 11 E92's on the road. Out of all of those, only 3 335's, the rest 328's. I wasn't in my 335 on Fri. night when I was behind a 335 coupe...pouring rain, the guy was being cautious. Was Crimson Red which I found quite appealing, not a fire engine red like my friend's ZHP 330 (Imola Red or something?)....
