Review of Patryk's Remote Coding

First and foremost, Patryk is a friendly, professional guy that accommodated my schedule especially when he lives in Poland (6 hours ahead for us, east coast people).

A few months ago, I purchased a Karbonwerke trunk from a fellow e90poster. This trunk was the LCI version giving me the opportunity to retrofit the LCI taillights to my 2007 e90. After a few days of hearing the annoying beeping sound whenever I started my car, I decided to pursue options to get my FRM module coded to fix the hyper blinking turn signals and also to get rid of the errors that were being thrown. Since I could not find any reputable autologic shops in Atlanta, GA, I had to look for a vendor that would be offering remote coding as a service. The first vendor that I found was Patryk(name on boards: Patrys) who had established himself as the person to go to for DVD in motion coding and other remote coding.

I contacted him about coding for my LCI taillights and also for remote folding mirrors and a digital speedometer. He fit me into his schedule and had his previous customer ship me the interface all within a week. Before I received the interface, he had me download a few files that were necessary for the coding. They were rather large files so I am glad he told me to download these files before I received the interface to cut down on time.

During the day of the coding, he remote connected to my laptop and started installing files and setting up everything. We attempt to code the LCI taillights and he notices I do not have a FRM2 module but actually the FRM module, the first version. I have a 10/06 production date 328i. This instantly worries me, making me think I would not to be able to get this done. He assured me that he was still able to do it and sure enough he was able to do everything I asked for. Overall, the whole coding process took roughly 45 minutes. All I need to do now is ship the cable to his next customer.

Overall, I highly recommend Patryk for your remote coding services. He is very quick to respond and gets things done right especially the LCI taillight retrofit coding. Here are a few pictures of the results, shot with my Blackberry Storm 2.
