you might have to do just that. my iS gives a long crank at times also, but i feel like that is only when the key fob is not in the center of the car. whenever i am turning the car on and closing the door with the key fob close to the door, i feel that lag. hmm...coincidence or not? lol

UPDATE: Finally got the whip back from service a week ago. (Fourth time I took it, this time with new service consultant and certified technician). Looks like they fixed the long crank problem at start up (esp. warm start). |

about to drop an order on a 335is but i'm having second thoughts. any of you have personal experience with how the car manages on slick, snowy, icy winter roads with snow tires? i'm thinking of whimping out and getting a 335i xdrive. even still that car might need winter tires too, no?. also is it incredibly lame to get DCT and leave it in the "shift-for-you steptronic-like mode" most of the time?

currently tuned with the jb4 i drive with it on map 5. it is fast and great acceleration but i dont think this transmission can handle the torque. when im on half throttle sometimes it jerks like crazy and i have to let go of the throttle

So I'm probably ordering my 335is tomorrow. Space gray on black interior. Thinking of adding the CF rear deck lid spoiler from factory (any pics on space gray? I think bimmerwar51 has it but I didn't see pics from the rear angles). And I'm very torn on the wheel ordering. I will certainly need a set of winter wheels. I'm thinking of taking the standard 18" 313 and putting snow tires on them and separately getting 19" BBS CH-R with summer performance tire as my non-winter set. The other option is getting the 19" 313 wheel and using that as my summer set and separately purchasing 18" BBS CH-R or GT4 RE and putting winter tires on those. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.
