Lightbulb Installed my PIAA Angel Eyes!

Here are a few shots of my angel eyes (stock vs PIAAs)

They're really nice and match perfectly with the xenons

Didn't get around to taking an overall shot with both PIAAs installed, had to go somewhere as soon as we were done. BTW my bro and I went through the wheel well (didn't lift the car)... it was a pain at first but we were quicker on the 2nd side.

UPDATE: Took some night shots, but they didn't turn out great. Can't keep the camera steady, no tripod, etc. But here they are for what it's worth...

PIAA looks like a great match to the Xenons.

PIAA is the company that makes the LED bulbs that are being used here to replace the stock light that shines into the corona rings / angel eyes, making them brighter. They make a variety of lighting products.

Not sure what it stands for, couldn't find that out myself.

Other products to achieve the same effect are Brex, LUX (by forum member mds82, currently working on version 2.0), PMB (by longtran, don't think he sells them anymore tho).

I bought them from car-gym.com for $195 + S/H - here's the link: http://www.car-gym.com/catalog/produ...roducts_id=301

Or you could try bavauto.com. According to another member in this recent post (here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...4&postcount=63) bavauto.com replied in email that the ones on their site are indeed for the E90 despite showing the old box (they claim they haven't had time to take a photo of it) - it's cheaper than car-gym, $170. I'd suggest verifying with them prior to buying to make sure though. Could call the number of that rep in the email reply from the link above.

I was on a GB but it fell through, so I decided to just buy it. And I didn't know about bavauto's being the right one (according to above post) till after I placed my order.

These do not work on the E92. AFAIK there aren't any for the E92 yet... I suggest keeping an eye out for more info in the Cosmetic Mod and Vendor subforums, as well as the above mentioned websites and monitor the E92 products. I vaguely recall longtran (forum member here) talking about the E92... not sure if he attempted it or is working on something... try a search or PM

For E90s overseas... car-gym shipped from Honk Kong and I believe they'd ship to Europe etc.

E92's uses a h8 bulb to power both the angel eyes and fog lights and one bulb powers both angel eyes on each side, so you need 2 bulbs (one on each side) to power all the angel eyes and 2 more bulbs for the fog lights

E92 people, there's a pretty long thread about this for the E92 here: E92 Angel Eye Update - Pics... - for others

Updated original post with some night pics, but they're not that great (the pics, not the PIAAs ). I'm sure you can find better in other PIAA type of threads though.
