What phone are you using with your E92 (328 and 335)

Guys,

I just wanted to know what phones are you using with your e92 bluetooth capable system on (328 and 335coupes). I should be getting my car next week and would like to know what phone to get besides does being currently approved by BMW.

I have tried several different phones with no success. Some of those phones are:

Sony Ericsson p990i
Sony Ericsson W700i

Your input will help me and countless others that are facing the same problem of wanting a good cellphone that works with the option.

Thank you for your responses.

I've heard from numerous people that the Motorola RAZR works very well - in fact I got one to use on my new 335. I haven't tried it yet, but I will pick it up in 2 days.

I've got a Verizon BB 7130e, it's on the list so I'm hoping it works. If anyone has tried it yet, let me know if it actually gets your address book. I will be really happy if that's the case.

I use my Blackberry 8700g from Tmob for my e90.
But here's a list of BMW compatible phones from their website:

So the question is, does it read your address book, or just let you make i-drive dialed phone calls?

It downloaded the phone book fine. It also depends on wat type of OS software is on your bb.
Good luck!

The bluetooth will work, but it will not download the phonebook-so unless you memorized your whole phone book, you will have to still look on your phone to find out who's calling you.

I use an HP6945 it syncs the addressbook as well, i did notice that the signal bars were different. on the HP it shows the regular bars, when I paired and HTC Wizard I got an antena with signal strenght around it. not sure what it means but both worked fine.

I have a Motorola Q with the current software... Works perfectly. It replaces a UTStarcomm 6700 which was flakey, and would sometimes work, lose it's pairing etc. I need to use Outlook, Tasks, etc so a regular cell phone is insufficient for my needs.

The MotorolaQ otoh, is rock solid every time, phonebook and all. Plus, it seems to have better range than the 6700..... 5 stars..
