Koni FSD

hi guys, thinking of getting this as low profile tyres are not the best comfort for terrible roads down here and I don't want to get rid of the sporty look with my tyres.
any comments on the Koni FSD? any reviews somwhere on the net? pls share, thanks. Adam

I have koni FSD and to tell you the truth, im not really satisfied with them. I mean, the ride is still goood, but it feels like BMW suspension should b better, you're better off getting the KWv2 I hear those suckers are bad-aasss

also, where can I have a look at those KWv2? any sites that sell them online? and are they for the same purpose as the FSD, I mean I don't really want my ride to be too harsh as street here are far from good...

KWV2!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's the sex.

ADHD has KWV2. I have BMW factory Sport springs, on NON-Sport shock/struts.

His car rides just as smoothly as mine, and it's way lower.

GET KW.

Matt, how much are they? and could you pls let me know whether they provide the same comfort as the FSD? I have low profile tyres and on bumpy roads the comfort is not the best...
also how do you adjust the lowering?

I like the FSD's but you can't go wrong with the KWV2's either.

I willing to say that the KW provides MORE comfort than the FSD.

They area around 1500 installed for the V2.

I've riden in a car with KWv2, and it's like stock.

I've ridden in cars with several various Koni products (never FSD, though) and it's always too harsh of a ride for me.

yeah i have that setup with the H&R sports, it's smooth on nice even road, but when it comes to roads with imperfection, you wouldn't like it too much, i mean, no one has complains while they're in my car, but i can feel it and it bothers me sometime KWv2 like matt said,

FSDs... Personally, I think its worth the price. Definitely better than stock non-sp for sho~. (Running H&R Sport with KONI FSDs)

I personally love the feel of the road over a 'stock' feel. I like to feel every bump (stiff suspension) on the road but don't want my car taking a beating cuz of it. FSDs have eliminated the beating part so far. It has also made the suspension more stiffer while absorbing all the impact from bumps and dips of the harsh roads of Los Angeles.

But it doesn't mean that I am completely satisfied with my ride either. But for the price of these shocks compared to the prices of coilovers others are talking about, I think its worth every penny...
If I had a choice right now, I think I would go with Eibachs with FSD... (I'm told that Eibachs are more stiffer than H&R).

Overall, Comfort is great. I mean, it's comfortable considering its lowered with 19s.

Everyone has their own preferences of ride quality. So find out what you really want before making any investments.

Steve and Kai at Trendix has awesome prices for FSDs... lowest (installed price) I've found anywhere in So CAL!! and if you decide to go the other route, I'm sure they'll hook you up with those as well.

I have to stay away from anything "adjustable" ... I've had coilovers before ... I have this weird affliction that if I can adjust something, I'll come up with some justification for adjusting it. My coilovers drove me nuts because every week I was fiddling with them. And adjustable sways? Ugh.

One thing for you guys getting coilovers, spend a couple of bucks and get them corner balanced once you get the height the way you want it. You'll read a lot about how it's not necessary, but believe me, it feels so nice.

thanks for this, really useful. I am not racing the care at all (how could I when it's a diesel...) and just want to balance a sporty ride every now and then with comfort over bumps on the road (and there is plenty of them here believe me)...
so investment into KW or Bilstein is a bit too high for that (unless I come across a very good deal - anyone selling?). looks like the koni will be the winner for now. anyway might probably wait til the winter's over (I change my rims to 16' and have regular stock tyres for winter).

how much would you ask for them? I'm still not sure about the H&Rsport, how much will that lower the car? and what is the comfort compared to stock? I am a daily driver and don't really want to suffer too much in my ride
