It will be tough to get a new set of wheels and tires for that price but VMR will come close. I'd suggest looking at the V710s or VB3 CSLs for a clean setup which we can do in 18" or 19" with or without tires.

V710s

VB3 CSLs

At that budget, just buy a good set of tires.

Yeah with mounting and balancing, TPMS, wheels, and tires, I don't think you'll be able to get anything decent. VMR is a good choice on a budget, but 18" wheels alone are usually ~$800. Plus $100-150 in shipping.

And it'd be important to note whether you have sport package or not.

If that's your budget here is what I believe to be the best package you can get right now since the Tirerack is having a close out sales on ASA AR1s

4 18 X 8 ARA AR1 Black with machine lip ( would look good on AW) with 4 225/40/18 Sumitomo's HTRZ III

$950 delivered to your door mounted and balanced ( that's very hard to beat)
if you need TPMS figure another 200$

It's going to be tough for you to find something in that price range if your looking for a new set. If you can stretch your budget a bit I would recommend that you check out either the VMR VB3 CSL wheel which will hold up to that classic BMW look. Here is a picture of the VMR VB3 CSL 18" wheel on an E90 with non-sport suspension for you to check out.
