ED modding

has anyone ever taken ed delivery and then modded their car in germany? it seems like there are a few parts that are more readily available there like shadowline or piano black? or style 230s?

Car must be in stock condition for export. So whatever you do, make sure it's undoable prior to export.

Why don't you just buy the parts there and have them installed when you get back to the states?

After shipping and packing costs, customs duty, etc., and the poor exchange rate, isn't it really cheaper and easier to by these items Stateside?

yea i agree if i cant get anything installed before shipping back to the states. it just seems like some things like style 230 and shadowline seem really readily available in europe. that was the only point i was asking about.

it is nice to know that they have to be delivered in stock condition. i have done alot of reading and missed that one.

thanks again

That may be a term of the contract that isn't checked closely. They just don't want the weight or dimensions to change.

You drop the car off at a shipper, and that shipper sends it to NJ. I'm sure none of the shipper's people are doing an inspection for purity on that car. The car doesn't transition through a purity check on the way. It does go through customs though.

I don't think anybody at the port will notice if you change the trim. Modding - and OEM+ are two different things.

But if they hold you up at the port, don't hold me responsible
