How do I find out if a car has been serviced properly? I'm looking at a car with about 40k on the clock, and it has had 2 services and is 5 years old.

Is it time limited? Guessing brake fluid will be, but what else? Does it have to be serviced every 2 years regardless?
What would 'typically' be required to be done during 5 years?

In general, oil changes pop up every 15k miles or so although the dealer will do one every year if you haven't hit that 15k mark yet.

Brake fluid is every 2 years. I'd be worried if it has never been done in 5 years.

Does it HAVE to be serviced every 1 or 2 years though?

The car I'm looking at is 5.5 years old. It had a service at 2 years old, and another service at 4.5 years old, and is due another in 6k miles.

Is that a bad service history?

the oil services are roughly every 15k (ei 15k, 30k, 45k, 60k) depends on how you drive. every 30k a vehicle check is done. brake fluid is every 2 years. annual oil services could have been done on this car and it wont show up on the obc. they dont get the interval reset.
