Cost effective HiFi Professional upgrades

I speced my E90 330d LCI with HiFi Professional. In retrospect I should have just plumped for the Harmon Kadon/Logic 7. HiFi Professional which I have is the system with 8 speakers (inc the door tweeters) and an amp in the back. AFAIK it is 180W total power.

What are some cheap (under GBP500/$800) and minimum invasive audio upgrades I can do?

The best minimally invasive upgrade for a HiFi system is a set of Rainbow Dream Line 210.20 components in place of the stock front components.

- Improves the bass (gets louder by comparison

- Reduces mid and high frequency distortion

- Doesn't require an amp, or running new wires into the doors.

You should be able to find Rainbow in the UK no problem.

Thanks for the reply - would the Rainbow components be a better option than just buying the Harmon Kardon/Logic 7 tweeters and mids of the BMW parts department and installing them?

Since the replacements are 4 ohm

Since the rainbows are 4 ohm and the originals are 2 ohm is there still adequate power from the amp to drive them to a decent level?

Are the stock speakers actually 2 ohm? Or are they 4 ohm tweeters and 4 ohm mids wired in parallel which will give you 2 ohm?

Have a look here at a Rainbow/Genesis install in my E92, using a 5.25" component set for the front.

The install was done by a great installer and buddy of mine, based in Hornchurch, just off the A13 outside London.

E92 fan

The install looks really nice but you have a lot of amps and a digital processor backing it up. What was your cost on this stuff?
