Brake light won't go out

I suffered from the annoying e90 brake squeal so I disconnected the two brake pad sensors from the rotors and left the tied near the wheel. I did all of this about two weeks ago and this morning my brake light went on in the cluster and will not go out.

Anyone know if this is from the sensors being off? I tried to reset the light but I could not. If it is from the sensors, can you just reconnect them and run a reset? thanks.

I would physically check the sensors to ensure they did not get chewed up by touching the wheel accidentally.
