Exclamation what do you think of this neighborhood?

U think this is a good neighborhood? it's adjacent to Beverly Hills, and it seems like its not west hollywood... If you guys think its ok, I am going sign a lease in a couple days...
Let me know your opinions.

If you think this is a little too close to W. H-wood, some alternative neighborhoods I am considering includes:
Miracle mile
Culver City
West LA (areas near sepulveda around the highways)
Brentwood (also near highways)
Beverlywood

How are those areas in terms of people, scene, safety and traffic compared to Beverly hills adjacent?

Hahah

If your looking for a good neighborhood. I would suggest going to the suburbs. A lot of places in south orange county that are nice. Newport, launga niguel, aliso viejo, mission viejo, dana point. Any of those areas.

Other than that if you just have to live in the city thats a pretty good area. I cant vouch for it but, the city and sub's are 2 totally different places. (crime wise ect.)

Oh i forgot as for traiffic there. Its the city is always traffic there.

Just got off the phone with my realtor and said that west hollywood / Beverly hills area is pretty traffic due to all the college kids there. (UCLA)

He said its an ok area also. North H-wood is bad.

Good luck with the move and hope the info helped a bit.

The area you highlighted is not bad. Might be overpriced. WeHo is a major gay area if you're into that, but overall not too bad.
Miracle Mile is OK, but far from any freeways, so kinda inconvenient.
Culver City has good and bad areas. Overall it's not too bad, but farther South.
West LA has bad traffic (405 is ALWAYS jammed). Nice area tho, very convenient.
Brentwood is pretty much same as West LA, but more expensive.
Beverlywood, not too sure.

I work and live in West LA (405 and Olympic). The area around there is nice, but expensive. Traffic on Olympic and Santa Monica Blvd's is horrible in the evenings, but it's close to the 10 freeway (major east-west freeway) and the 405 (N-S freeway) interchange.

I am sure its ok. They area you highlight appears to be south of wilshire...so prices are lower than if you were north of it. I used to live near there...on Olympic between robertson and la cienega. It has nice and ghetto streets...kind of luck of the draw. Have you seen pics of the place and its surrounding??? If you tell us close cross streets...we might be able to give you a better eval.

Being close to W Hollywood is not terrible either...alot of straight women are moving into the area surrounding it because it is now being considered "safer" . Plus it is one of the only cities in LA that supports medical use of ...so many people just light up cuz cops do not care about citations. The only down side of course for you is..well, you know already.

Is the area I am in that close? It looks like weho is north of me...
LA seems like a weird area in that a nice neighborhood could be the next block from a bad one.

Culver City is going to be the cheapest of the areas you listed. WeHo isn't necessarily bad, just a different demographic. Brentwood is definitely my pick if you can afford it. Anywhere near Westwood is going to have too many college students IMO, so you may get some roudy parties near you. Of course, if you don't mind that, then go for it.
