Ryan, will Eisenmann release a turboback (or a catback) exhaust for e90 335i sedan?

Yes it does remove the secondary downstream cats (not far from the muffler) but the cats in the downpipes remain and so does the primary cat after the downpipe.

So, Bob is doing stuff for BMW? I thought he was only Audi stuff?

2nd. I've had Milltek systems on two of my personal cars and have heard applications on many others. Definitely my favorite exhaust.

Odd how the Ultimate Racing exhaust was not aknowledged in this thread. They really do produce nice parts (from my Subaru days).

To me the Ultimate Racing sounded a bit..off. I don't know but not a smooth sound like I had hoped. I'd love for them to post up more videos.

Do you know the difference or a cat back and a turbo back? if you don't then let me explain it.

We are talking on this topic of a cat back exhaust(from the cats to the back, typically to the tips).

The turboback is from the turbo all the way to the back(tips of the muffler).

Since there is not a single shop that I know/I am aware of that has made a full turbo back yet then the topic is extricly related to a catback(from the cats and back).

12whp is a lot for just a cat back considering that you are not even removing any of the cats.

How do I know all the cat backs and turbo back issues? well, My BMW 355i will be my 14th turbo car I ever owned and I had full turbobacks in at least 8-10 of them.

Typically the boost raises by itself by installing a much free flowing exhaust. Just for a reference, an Evo pick up about 3psi peak more boost.

I wouldn't be surprise if the BMW picks up at least 1.5-2psi with a full turboback(whenever they make them)

Your Evo peaked that much more? I only got about 1.5 psi when I installed the turboback on my Evo. I then raised it with a boost controller after I got my bigger injectors, fuel pump and tuned to 24psi. Stock was 21psi for reference. (2005 Evo with stock 10.5 hotside).

And I agree...a catback for a turbo'd car doesn't mean it is a turboback, it is still a catback, lol.

I'm not sure if I'm the only one concern with the issue of cost as well

Well turboback exhausts would give the most gain, but my question is how will you eliminate the Check Engine light for the fact that you have no cat inbetween the two 02 sensors?

I seriously doubt that you can just solder a resistor inline on the rear 02s like you could in the old days and with the Jap import cars. BMW is on top of the emissions in these cars, and they do a lot more than your average car to monitor them. And with the price of those 02s sitting between $400 and $700, do you really want to burn one of those out?

If Vishnu comes out with a tune that can bypass those 02s and still allow it to pass emissions that would be wonderful. It is quite tight up in there, so going to larger diameter piping might not fit well, but if you kept the diameter the same and just removed the cats, spool time would be much quicker than stock...and its already quick as it is.

Boost will definitley increase (by how much, not sure, anyone wired a boost gauge into an E90 yet??), but what is the limits on pressure with these turbos? And the cats might be just enough to keep the turbos from boost spiking due to a really free flowing exhaust....I wonder what happens when a BMW does that...just throw the light and go into limp mode?

After hearing the Eisenmann for the E60, I would have to say that one all the way!

I wonder if the anti-fouler o2 sensor simulator trick will work on the 335i.
