Question Has anyone change shift knob?

I wanted to know if the E90 was reverse compatible with other BMW shift knobs like every other year and series is. I do not have my old e36 knob anymore so I can not test myself.

Yes I have changed the knob.I took it from my e46 manual .No problem.It fit as gloves.I ha dalso knob from Z3 and e39 which I tried out .All of them fits.

you think you can take pictures??? is it true you just have to pull striaght up to remove the knob??

just put it into second gear and pull...you should apply enought force....I'll post pics next week. Need to recharge the camera

what kinda battery do you use?? solar power?? takes a week to charge???
