Basically... Is there such an animal????
I had an off the record discussion with someone in the Insurance industry. We all know the inherant insurance risk when modding.... They can deny a claim if a car is not to OEM spec. This insider tells me there is a way.... *If* a dealer is willing to install a modification, the insurance company is more comfortable with the idea that the car will still perform properly (read safely) and will not add appreciably to their liability. So.... back to line #1... Is there such an animal as a mod friendly dealer???? e.g. would a dealer install H&R sport springs?

a dealer is most likely not going to install aftermarket H&R sport springs for you. however, parkview bmw (just north of eglington on leslie) is pretty much mod friendly. they dont hassle you for you mods when you bring your vehicle in for scheduled servicing. obviously, they wont clean your intake filter if you have changed your intake, etc...its also a good idea to keep all of your stock parts, just in case a problem does arise, you can always revert back to stock. or even selling, some people like stock cars when buying used...
