Very rarely. I find that most seem to be immature keyboard warriors (I generalise, of course) - it all just seems a bit more hostile.

Not as friendly a place as this!

Nope, plenty of good posts/topics on the UK bit. Some USA threads seem overly aggressive, bit too much "attitude" on display.

Mike.

US guy here who always reads your UK posts (because they show up in the "New Post" header, which is all I read). I like your good natured bantering instead of mean spirited bickering in other forums. And I like that you call it a "boot"

I'll go now.

I still look in the main 3 er forum and the photo gallery but when I have made a post answering, a question perhaps, it gets ignored - even when it's about say a model that isn't available in the States.

It's obviously a country with a huge population and there are proportionately more guys with a BMW on top of that, and I find some of the antics quite unbelievable - and entertaining.

The main impression you get, is that there is a totally different mindset - mind you the guys who occasionally post in the U.K. sections don't appear to be too representative of that particular huge group.

And let's face it, the American guys who have contributed to the "puppies" thread have, by themselves, kept it going for a long time.

Only when I want to read about all the mods available for the 335i....and look at all the aftermarket body kits!....

The UK section is definitely much more friendly....

Hmm...I'm gonna start lurking the UK forums to see if I can notice a significantly "better" atmosphere than in General, which I agree can get hostile at times, but maintain that if holding your grain of salt, can be completely informative as well. I have noticed the regionals do "tend to take care of their own" so this is perhaps not necessarily a function of the "US" forums as a generalized entity, but rather representative that they often encompass the UK, European mainland, Asias, and others all in one. Misunderstandings and general douchebaggery should be somewhat expected, should it not?

I pop over there from time to time, never fails to amaze me how those Fellas buy a brand new 335i or M3 and rip it apart moding it. They certainly throw some dosh around.

It's bound to be more 'friendly' in the UK section. Because it's much smaller people have built up relationships and know, to an extent, people's personalities & tastes (Will!!!!). Nigh on impossible to build that sort of banter over in the larger US section without it escalating into a row (not forgetting the different culture too).

Plus, if you really piss someone off on here, you're generally only a few hours drive away from getting your head kicked-in .

Never venture away from the regional forums. Had a few looks way back when I first found the forum but not been on the main forum for a couple of years!

Long since sold my 335i but still have a look on here most days!
