Metal ping noise after I turn car off.....

I bought my car about a week ago, so I am still a NOOB when it comes to 335i related things.

When I turn the car off, it sounds like the same noise you would get from a civic when using regular gas. The pinging sound of what sounds like water hitting a hot exhaust.

I DO NOT use anything other than 93 octane premium gas in the car, so that is not the issue.

I also have the dreaded brake sqeak from 0-20 mph when brakes are warmed up, and also what sounds like a bad bedspring in the back portion of my drivers seat. Anyone experience any of these symptoms?

Had 0 issues with my modded E46 coupe, now I purchase a Stock CPO E90 335i, and I have tons of little annoyances.

It's normal the expansion / contraction of metal as the temp changes.

I am new to turbo cars, so this is common?

It makes it sound like a cheap japanese car.

I had Acura's, BMW's, Ford's, Chevy's, etc, and never had this noise.

Normal! All of my cars that I've had before did that noise due to thermal expansion/contraction.

This is common in all cars. My 88 Lebaron did it, and my 03, and 06 Eclipses did it. It is just the exahast and transmission expanading, then contracting after it cools. NORMAL

Our Ford mustangs did that, my GM trucks do that, my Acura CL did that, and so does my BMW. No way to get away from that.

Different types of metals bolting together will always make that noise (even though the sales guy said BMW was so well designed that I'd never hear that. Yeh... right... I hear it.

I've never had a car that didn't do that. As others have said normal expansion/contraction of metal.

My 05 Acura TL didn't do it. My E46 323ci didn't do it and I beat the living $hit out of that car.

If it was subtle, and only a few seconds I would say fine, but 4-5 minutes after shutting it off, it sounds like golf balls are falling on my exhaust pipes.

Then you must have had magical cars, because the 2000 Chevy, 2008 GMC, 2001 Acura CL, 2003 Acura CL, 2000 Mustang GT and 2008 BMW335 that I've owned all did/do it.

Even the old beaters before those did it. I've never heard any car that once it got hot never had expansion/contraction noises.
