Car Insurance

Can anyone explain the above, mine is due next month so spent most of the morning on the old price comparrison web sites and blimey haven't costs gone up since last year! on the comparrison websites the best I could get was with Privlege 630.00 up to something ridiculas like 2k, then went to Direct Line 740 then tried Aviva 543.00 with 30.00 cash back bonus. so where is the logic? How are they all so varied?

Because they all prioritise risk differently, they are after different types of customers so their prices reflect this, generally the one which is cheapest for you means you are in their preferred 'category'.

Thus no insurer is 'The Cheapest One' for everyone, they vary as much as all our personal circumstances vary, so you've just got to keep trying!

Hi there .... Insurance is up around 15% this year it would seem. I've just received my renewal today. I'm not sure of your circumstances, age, model, excess etc, but all in with breakdown, continental cover, legal, hire car and excess of 200, mine came in at 510. Hope that helps. If you want further details give me a shout. Good luck!

Hello guyz ...... I did it through a local broker and it's with Polaris Drive Private Car which is part of Royal and Sun Alliance. I'm still looking to see if I can get cheaper. I can alway go with Insured Until You Claim. con LOL
I'm sure the broker would welcome your business in these hard times.
For what it's worth my Aviva quote was 739 with a 400 excess too!

Forgot to say ..... I gave 10,000 miles as my SDP and 2,000 miles for personal business, but I'll get a requote as I no longer do that sort of mileage.

My Insurance will go down next year because I've taken out a 2 car policy with Admiral. What I didn't know was that although my Insurance doesn't run out till April my car will be added then and I'll only pay pro rata till both cars will be up for renewal next Sept.

The annual premium for my car will be 301 but I'll only pay 120 or 140 for the part year. Zero voluntary excess.
