Andy,

I tried some of these on my m3 and it interfered with the non-DAB radio and lost some stations when they turned on, is yours ok?

Oh, that's a good point - I've read about that before. Well mentioned.

but these will change your yellow look to white

heres the fitting guide

But the ebay leds you linked are for E92, and the fitting guide shows RD to E90 pre LCI, wich did you use?

Would these work?:

Yes, I've got LCI halogen, and the fitting guide shows how to use pre LCI (xenon) LEDs with a small modification on LCI halogen.

Well, I ordered these instead:

I hope they will work, what do you think?

they will work, but you will find it a challenge fitting them with the lights in..
they won't be plug and play.

You will have to do a similar job to what I did a while back
look here: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=335462

Mine are good in the dusk/night but are not great in the daylight. I am currently investigating the possibility of fitting a HID kit to light the Halos...

good luck.

Ok, great guide, I've missed that one.
I've ordered the LCI halos a couple of days ago and they should arrive any day. I'm going to do the work before fitting them so thats non problem.

just one point that might make the install a bit simpler is to use the beige plastic frame from the oem bulb to hold the new led bulbs in place - this saves using the small metal pieces to 'reach' the main light housing with the new smaller led bulbs (as shown in pics 3,4 and 5 of that guide). i also taped around the clear element but its still nowhere near as bright as the new oem drl's.

also the guides and after market leds work on all xenons/halogens in e92 and e90 - the rings are essentially the same design (just a little different in size). i used the actual ones that i linked in my post.

be great if hids could be used to power the halo rings and make them much brighter

I fancy a go at this, I wonder if HID's could be mounted in using the original bulb holder and a bit of experimentation. It seems the way to go and looks best in my opinion, going off some of the installs currently done, replacing H8's with HID set up.

Got mine LCI halogens a couple of days ago, manufactor Hella/ZKV, the funny thing is that on these the MTEC is a direct fit, totaly plug and play.
As far as I can see it's the same solution on Hella/ZKV LCI halogen to light up the AE as the pre LCI Xenon.
Are yours perhaps Valeo?

Now I'm looking for chrome PY24W bulbs...
