Best London shops for smart attire?

I noticed a few threads about watches so thought I would start one asking what shops in London are ideal for the following:

Shirts
Shoes
Smart Jackets
Misc, cufflinks, belts etc.

I hear Thomas Pink are good for shirts and misc items. Not sure what shops sell good quality shoes.

I'm after quality more than anything, I am tired of buying cheaper shirts with a poor fit etc.

Any recommendations?

Shipton & Heneage in Battersea do some nice shoes. Rebranded Northampton brands.

Hilditch & Key on Jermyn Street do quality shirts. Actually, most of the shirt shops on Jermyn street are pretty good. Turnbull & Asser etc...

A big fan of Charles Tyrwiit (I think!) - www.ctshirts.co.uk

Got a couple of their shirts and ties - the shirts come in a "slim fit" option that look a million times better than the billowy fat man's shirts peddled by many brands.

Proper brass collar stiffeners and very nice cotton too.

TM Lewin are good for shirts, I have bought my work shirts from there for the last 10 years. Good quality, range and they generally do 4 for 100

If you are looking to trend it up a bit try -

Choice, Zee & Co., or Cecil Gee

cheers for all the replies, just one more question:

places like boss etc, I imagine that although their products may have a nice design, they lack durability? As in, they were not created for ever day use and wont last very long?

this is easy..

Shirts - anywhere on jermyn st. you can pay anything from 25 to well over 150+.. i find the sweet spot for a non bespoke shirt to be around the 50 mark.. usually get them from pinks (on sale), charles tyrwhitt, lewins (although become a bit common), if you got money's to burn can check out new and lingwood, turnbull and dasser etc... but tbh you can't go wrong down there... probs stick there for other bits too like cuff links, hats etc too..

if you don't know where it is it's the 'other side' of waterstone's in picadilly.. nice little road

Shoes - I'm not really a massive shoe lover.. but you won't go far wrong with churches, i would generally just pop down to selfridges for anything more 'specialist', ofc.. trainers just go to adidas or something

There is a barker shop on regent st., but i really don't like the twattish italian man in there. i actually told him to fuck off once and left the shop in disgust he pissed me off so much, hahah

Smart Jackts / Suit - Go down savillie row. Contrary to popular belief you don't need to spend a fortune down there.. you can get a Gieves and Hawkes suit for ~800.. obviously it won't be bespoke, but it will still be awesome!

you won't go wrong with many palces down there.. but i personally do find some of the 'lesser known' brands.. (atleast to me) a little intimidating.. a number of them are bespoke only and that =

Fashion - For fashion stuff, i'd stick with the BOSS, Gucci, Prada etc for IDEAS, but tbh i've never really bought more than a tie in any of them.. they are so grossly over priced for something that will be in and out of style as the wind changes it's much more galling to pay their top dolla than it is for a suit / shirt / shoes etc..

Personally, I just stick with selfridges, make notes of the fashions, and then go down H&M / House of Fraser / Look online etc..

Something you can't cheap out on though are:

* Outer Coat
* Shoes

Defo make sure you spend some money here.. everything else is debatable to on extent or another

Any more?

Edit 1: Oh, and this is my fav tip.. if the shop smells of polyester when you walk in.. just leave. Nothing in there is worth buying, haha
Edit 2: Just read that all back, what a snob, haha! :/
