Search, there was a post here by someone who had done it. The front subframe is in the way of removing it completely, but it can be dropped by a few inches, enough to replace the gasket. Not sure what keeps it from sliding out towards the rear of the car, but I guess I'll find out when I go to replace it in the summer.

ive done several...its not that difficult but you will need a way to support the engine from the top so the subframe can be dropped...and an angle torque wrench to angle torque all the aluminum bolts..
