Question Staggered wheel setup

I've got a 320d SE running 225/45/17 tyres on 160 style wheels. I'll be putting my winter tyres on these rims in the next few wheels when the weathers gets below 7c regularly.
In the spring I am thinking about getting a new set of rims (BMW not replica) - I'll probably stick with 17" wheels with RFTs - are there any any advantages / disadvantages to having wheels with a staggered setup, e.g. with 225/45/17 fronts and 255/40/17 rears.

Some say initial turn in is better with a staggered set-up.

+1 though it is hard to tell in day to day driving. The car looks better with the wider rears, though what price vanity
